I don't know what to say about this movie except that it looks like it was made about 10 years too late. It would have fit right in in 1995 with the new X games generation. I bet afterwords, impressionable kids will be leaving the theater, saying things like "That was off the chain" or "I live on the edge and I always look down" or "Fab540" or other EXXXXTREME phrases. I honestly don't know what the story is suppposed to be, but I bet the following:
1. There are EXXXXXTREEEEME Camera tricks like one would see on MTV. Slow down shots, Blurry shots, High speed shots, All kinds of messed up camera angles.
2. There are two characters who are rival motocross drivers dislike each other intensely. Despite the fact there are multiple racers involved in each contest, every race will somehow come down to a contest between only these two. The protaganist will probably lose at first, have a montage about capturing life on the edge, get a girlfriend and then win the final race.
3. There will be a product placement for Moutain Dew and some kind of pizza.
4. Hank will down another bag of hammers after this one.
I don't know who is in this movie. I don't care. The only reason I would see it would be to see if my predictions, based on only the trailer, are correct. And Our movie critic will probably tell me anyway. SO good luck, Ian. You, who are about to cry, salute me.
I forgot about this movie entirely. The sad thing is, I'd much rather see this than DB:EG. If I have any energy tonight, maybe I'll cross it off the list.
ReplyDeleteYou should just write as many of the meanest, most scathing comments possible and pretend it is the review for DB:EG. Then actually see the movie, just to see how many of the scathing comments apply.
