Where I've been

Hola amigos... I know it's been a long time since I rapped
at ya (thanks Jim Anchower), but as I've discussed with Ken
and now Josh, two Fridays ago on 9/30 my team at work was
dissolved and all our processes are being moved out to another
location in 60 days. This means that on Dec. 1, I will not
have a job. At least not the job I have now. We can interview
for other positions internally if we choose, but we're not
being automatically placed. I'd advise anyone who has a resume
to keep it updated, as I didn't have very much fun spending an
entire Thursday night re-writing mine from scratch and preparing,
as best I could, for an interview I found out I was having the
next day.

Since this archive is publicly available on the Internet, I'm
purposely not mentioning the company by name or any details
surrounding the decision, but I assure you it's been a shitstorm
since no one saw this coming. At least we had a few quality
nights out at the bars last week with some visitors from other
offices. Curiously, the cold I had all week cleared up pretty
nicely after the second night.

  1. DTA Rock.

Corporate America sucks. Too many talented people looking for jobs or struggling in bad ones.

  2. If you hadn't just bought a house I'd encourage you to move to the LOU! There's a house for sale just around the corner from where I live. It's not chi town but it has jobs and rush hour doesn't last for 25 hours a day.

Actually this place blows I'm out.

  3. Holy Crap! I just received word from Dan that the "house" he was referring to was actually Busch stadium, which is due to be dmolished any minute now.
