Never too early....

Hello panthrosbulge,

Welcome to Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football.

This is to confirm that you've created the Custom League named Reality Football and the team called The Austin Police in that league.

To allow other managers to join your league, send them the League ID# and Password. In your case, the ID# is 15176 and the Password is beerbrandbeer.

You have chosen for your league to take part in a live online draft on Sat Aug 23 10:00am PDT. Until that time, you (and only you) can change the type of draft by using the Change Draft Type option found among your Commissioner Tools, which can be reached from your League Overview page.

If you choose to remain in a live draft, please arrive at the draft 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. The draft will start promptly and may conclude rapidly if only a few managers are logged in.

We also suggest that all league members custom rank their players in case a manager can't make it to the draft. Managers can do this at any time by simply going to the Fantasy Football home page and clicking on their team name.

Thanks for joining. Good luck.

  1. What, last year's winner doesn't earn the right to commission the next season? Bah.

Also - better league name, please.

  2. Also, can the draft be moved to the Sunday morning? That should be my day off during the race season.

  3. Yeah! I haven't been able to apply the Commisioner Cheats label to Kevin, yet.

And Kevin-your first act as comissioner should be to create a NEW LEAGUE. A League where ineptitude is rewarded...the LEAGUE OF SUBORDINARY GENTLEMAN.

  4. Sorry. Didn't know we had the winner=Commish stipulation. I can always make you Commish (I think). As for the draft day - I just picked something arbitrary. We can pick whatever day is good for everyone.

  5. Ok. I checked and I can switch you to Commish when you join. Also 'LEAGUE OF SUBORDINARY GENTLEMEN' is too long - so I had to shorten it to, the more oddly hilarious, 'LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN'.

  6. Okay, I'm in. KING ME!!

  7. Actually, the "winner=Commish" stipulation was never established. I just wanted to do one since I hadn't yet, and figured that we could make it a perk for last year's winner. Not that it will really matter that much who runs it, since we have our scoring system nailed down now.

Also, as Josh mentioned, we're going to need to create a second league - the MISTAKES League! Where you can ONLY score points if your players throw interceptions, fumble, drop passes or miss field goals. Basically anything that gets you negative points now will be the only wait get positive points in this league.

Also, for both leagues - live draft in San Diego on the same weekend!! What say the lot of you??

  8. I'm totally down ... it's just a matter of setting the date because I'll only have one weekend day off ... and that'll most likely be Sunday.

  9. Maybe you can just shoot some extra horses ahead of time, then you may be able to take an additional day off.

I am Mike Terry, and I approve this message.

  10. 1. I'm disappointed to hear about this mistakes league, considering that the Bears have cut Benson and who knows if someone will be foolish enough to pick him up.

    2. With the Commish stipulation I was thinking that maybe, if possible, the person with the most points in the week gets the Commish job for the following week. That's assuming the option to change Commish lasts throughout the season.

    4. TYSON VS. AUSTIN! TYSON VS. AUSTIN!

    17. I crown you, COMMISSIONER!

    33. That new header image is balls.

  11. "I HAVE THE POWERRRRRRRRRR!!!!"

I was going through the archive pages on Yahoo for our older leagues and noticed that they still have all the message board posts from throughout the seasons. There's some pretty funny stuff in there, especially at the pre-season and post-season stages.
