This year's Super Bowl seems to be a contest between one's head and one's heart. Your brain knows that Peyton Manning is the second coming of Joe Montana, and possibly the greatest QB to ever put on whatever pants QB's wear. But your heart knows that the Saints are hungry for a Superbowl win to unite their previously submerged city, and it yearns to see a happy ending to an uplifting story of redemption. The Colts are boring, cold, and clinical. The Saints are alive, mixing up their offensive gameplan.
Well, the Colts don't fucking care. The fact is, as nice as you are, you are standing between a Manning and a trophy, and you goin to get messed up. Plus, I am from Indy. REPRESENT!
Colts 59 (They score 7 touchdowns and successfully attempt the 2 point conversion on all of them plus one FG for old man Stover).
Saints 9 (3 FG's)
Brett Favre only has about 36 hours left to work out a deal with New Orleans so that he can play in the Super Bowl.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn. On one hand, I want to see Peyton cry. On the other hand, I can't take all the 'This win will revitalize or destroy New Orleans' B.S. It's a game people and, win or lose, your city will still kinda suck afterwards.
ReplyDeleteBut whose city will EARN the right to burn itself to the ground? How ironic would it be to see New Orleans destroy what they've rebuilt? For that reason alone, I'm going for Indy.
ReplyDeleteBut now that New Orleans won, they may burn the city down in the ensuing party... so you might get what you wanted after all.
ReplyDeleteJesus. I am tired of this "This means so much to the people of New Orleans" shit. Like it didn't mean anything to the people of Indianapolis? I can tell you that it DOES. This loss hurts, even though the Colts played cowardly football. They got their asses kicked the entire 2nd quarter, having only 3 snaps, then they take over and run the ball three times and punt? With suppoesedly the greatest QB in history? Anyway, the Saints played aggressively, and they won. Did you see Mannings face before he finally got to play in the 3rd qurter? It had defeat written all over it. Anyway, good job nawlins. I hope you return the favor when Port-Au-Prince makes it to the Superbowl.
ReplyDeleteSomeone made a great comment...all the pressure for this game was on the Colts, because without a Superbowl championship, their season is a failure. New Orleans already had a great season...no worries there. Although it would be amusing to see the Los Angeles Saints.
ReplyDeleteRAHHHH!!
