These widgets will supposedly show live election results once their times countdown as enough votes are counted to show anything substantial ... I included a national, illinois and california widget. Sorry Dan, Missouri didn't "show me" any reason to include it. :)
UPDATE: I pulled the widgets after the race was called. Mostly because I got sick of watching the Google one just spin, spin, spin...

I added the Show Me state since Ian only included probably the two MOST DEMOCRATIC states in the Union. ;) We'll also see who's faster with the incorrect numbers: MSNBC or Google.
ReplyDeleteWell, the Democrats just won the Triple Crown - House, Senate, Presidency. Time to change our national team name to "Bend Me Over And Pump!"
ReplyDeleteNow all we can do is hope for the best and expect the worst ... of course, that's what I do no matter who's running the country.
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks to the fact that Josh didn't come out with his endorsement in time, I had to vote for Bob Barr. Damn you Jones!
ReplyDeleteBob Barr and Ron Paul got on the board with 1% of the vote in a couple states, but that's it. One of the biggest reasons that real change can't occur is that voters have been indoctrinated into the two-party system... there's just Red or Blue and nothing else.
ReplyDeleteEven during one of the Presidential debates, Brokaw lead a question with "when one of you becomes President, and one of you WILL become President," which was true but a telling statement nonetheless... people aren't even entertaining the IDEA that there are options out there besides the two major parties.
If anyone fucking cares here's a bit of trivia...no DEMOCRATIC candidate has ever won the presidency without winning MISSOURI ever in the history of time...except for Nobama.
ReplyDeleteWell, whatever.
Hah. All that hype about voter turnout...turns out that voter turnout was VERY close if not even to 2004. What was the biggest difference? Republicans stayed home (over 1% less turnout) and Democrats went to the polls (a 2-3% increase). So, Obama won not just because a billion people registered to vote, but because it looks like some of the Republican base decided to sit this one out. But, whatever. Whoever won got to inherit this wonderful economy. The real question is: how bad do you think Obama will look when he leaves office? Look at W, and all the other presidents before and after. It really ages them. I'm thinking Obama will probably look like a modern-day Bill Cosby.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....I wonder if he'll win re-election. And I am tired of hearing he is the 'first black president.' He looks like the first Mulatto President to me.
ReplyDeleteMeh. I am happy.
Is it Mulatto or Melado? Or Gellato?
ReplyDeleteI'm confused. Me go sleep now.
Elf is about to die.
ReplyDeleteDo not shoot food.
ReplyDeleteWell, he is gonna be the first Democrat to be reelected before he is sworn in if this shit keeps up.
ReplyDeleteFuck that. If he can get in I say we campaign to get Ian in. I don't know what Ian is, but he smiles more and has a much nicer tan.
ReplyDeleteGAU!
First Hapa President!!
